    CHARACTERISTICS
    • TypeVino rosso fermo
    • Location Bordeaux
    • Grapes 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc
    • Sensations The wine shows a beautiful ruby red colour. On the nose, complex, it releases aromas of red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant, blackberry and blackcurrant), spices (cinnamon, liquorice, cloves) and smoky notes (cocoa, caramel). On the palate, the wine is round, full-bodied, with silky and well-balanced tannins. The finish is long and fruity, with notes of gingerbread, caramel and black pepper.
    • Vinification The Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes are harvested at full ripeness and destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. During fermentation, pump-overs are carried out to extract colour and aromas from the skins. The wine then remains in steel for ageing, with no passage in barrique. After stabilisation and filtration, it is bottled and left to rest before release.

Château Les Maurberts Bordeaux AOP 2023
    • Château Les Mauberts is a small treasure in the heart of Bordeaux. We are precisely in Entre-deux-Mers, a vast region between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. The name literally means “between two seas”, a poetic reference to the tides that move up the rivers and influence the local climate. This area has historically been considered the garden of Bordeaux. Here, gentle hills host vineyards that benefit from constant ventilation, ideal for keeping the grapes healthy and rich in aromas. Here, Merlot – which alone accounts for 70% of the blend – provides roundness and a touch of softness. Alongside it, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, essential for giving structure and a solid backbone to the wine, and 10% Cabernet Franc, which adds finesse and spicy nuances. A trio that works in perfect harmony, like a band that has been playing together for a lifetime. The grapes are harvested only when fully ripe. After destemming, fermentation begins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This technical choice allows the extraction of bright colour and varietal aromas without forcing. Ageing then takes place exclusively in stainless steel. No wood. A smart move for those seeking a clean, fresh Bordeaux that stays true to its original fruit. Poured into the glass, it reveals a lively and deep ruby red colour. On the nose, the complexity is surprising. A basket of red fruits bursts forward, with raspberry and redcurrant leading, followed by blackberry and blackcurrant. Finally, notes of cinnamon, liquorice and cloves emerge, intertwined with smoky hints of cocoa and caramel. On the palate, it shows a full body, with silky tannins like a tailored suit. The finish is long, recalling gingerbread, black pepper and once again caramel.

Château Mauberts is the authentic soul of Entre-deux-Mers. A place where wine still breathes the air of a noble and genuine farming tradition. We are in the heart of Bordeaux, and this vast region owes its name to its geographical position: a fertile strip of land “between two seas”, which are in fact the rivers Garonne and Dordogne. Here, among rolling hills and landscapes that seem suspended in time, lies Château Mauberts. A small winery in a region dominated by the great names of Médoc or Saint-Émilion. Mauberts represents the other side of Bordeaux: accessibility, immediate pleasure and a deep, almost instinctive connection with the land. The production philosophy here is clear and straightforward: the wine must express the vintage and the terroir, without being weighed down by excessive technical intervention.
