Château Croizet-Bages is a 5ème cru classé from Pauillac, with a long history dating back to the 18th century. The estate has vineyards on the Bages plateau. 27 hectares of gravelly soils, where the vines have an average age of 35 years. 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, parcel vinification takes place in stainless steel vats. Alcoholic fermentation, accompanied by daily pumping over, takes place with care to preserve the authenticity of the fruit. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation takes place both in barriques and in steel vats, giving the wine greater complexity. The 12-month ageing in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, gives the wine elegance and harmony. In the glass, this Bordeaux red reveals itself to be generous and opulent.
