"Belleruche" Côtes du Rhône AOP Rosé 2024
    • Belleruche Rosé is the Rhône's freshest calling card: a rosé that smells of red fruits and Mistral, as light as a bee on the vines. This is Chapoutier's promise for its most accessible label, capable of revealing the sunniest side of its terroir in a single sip. The name itself, Belleruche, could be translated as “beautiful beehive”. It is a tribute to the bees that populate the sustainably cultivated vineyards: precious insects that signal the health of the ecosystem and ensure perfect pollination. But let's proceed in order. The grapes come from the right bank of the southern Rhône, an area characterised by sandy, well-drained soils. Here, the vines enjoy warmth during the day and coolness at night thanks to the Mistral wind, which dries the grapes and concentrates their aromas. The loose soils, a veritable “sea” of sand interspersed with rounded pebbles, produce light, fragrant and fruit-rich wines. It is the ideal place for producing easy-drinking rosés. Belleruche Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. In the blend, Grenache brings fruit and moderate alcohol content, Syrah brings colour and spicy notes, while Cinsault adds floral delicacy. Pale pink in colour, the nose is dominated by crisp red fruits, pink grapefruit and hints of exotic fruit. The attack is delicate and fruity, supported by lively acidity that lengthens the finish and invites you to take another sip. Designed to be enjoyed young, Chapoutier recommends pairing it with Provençal-style cod fillets or fresh salmon. It is also excellent with Mediterranean appetisers, summer salads, sushi, vegetable focaccia and fresh goat's cheese.

The Chapoutier family has its home (and winery) in the beautiful wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley. For Michel Chapoutier, a passionate winemaker and lively advocate of terroir, it is above all the natural elements that count: the land, the roots, the vines and the fruit. In the cellar, as well as producing good wines, his aim is to bring out the differences and specific characteristics of each terroir.
