    Barbera Frizzante Colli Piacentini DOC 2021
  • If we belong to the group of people who unconditionally associate Barbera with the Piedmont region, it's time to think again. Barbera, in fact, is an extremely generous grape that over the years has found a way to adapt to different soils and climates, giving life each time to very pleasant wines, with that typical fresh note that makes them extremely pleasant to drink. Here, at the foot of the Piacenza hills, in particular, Barbera is one of the traditional wines. Full-bodied and pleasantly sparkling, thanks to its roundness and natural balance, it is an excellent meal wine. Lively, as is traditional, this Barbera in the glass has a beautiful bright red colour with evident violet notes. The nose is fruity, with notes of small red fruits, strawberries and cherries. In the mouth, however, it is dry and pleasantly fresh. A wine to be drunk young and served throughout a meal. In particular with grilled meats and game.

    Cantine Campana was established in 1972 as a small family-run business. The real leap in quality, however, came in 2010 when, thanks to a project financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the European Union, the winery was able to expand its plant to improve the control of production processes and the quality of finished products. Located at the junction between the Val d'Arda and Val Chero, the winery can now count on an annual production of around one million bottles, 80% of which are registered in the main DOC wines of Piacenza tradition. And so wines such as Gutturnio, Barbera, Bonarda, Ortrugo, Malvasia Aromatica di Candia and Monterosso Val d'Arda, in different variants, from sparkling to still.
