Grotta Rossa is a Carignano del Sulcis DOC wine made from grapes grown in the sandy and clayey vineyards of the lower Sulcis area in Sardinia, where the Mediterranean sun and sea shape the varietal profile. In the glass, it has a beautiful intense ruby red colour, with fruity aromas of dark berries, plum and light spicy notes, accompanied by hints of liquorice and pepper. On the palate, it is smooth and elegant, with good volume and well-integrated tannins, supported by a pleasant freshness typical of the territory. The finish is persistent and harmonious, with a balance that reflects the complex and fascinating nature of Sardinian Carignano.
