    • This red wine represents the most authentic Friuli. DOC Aquileia, this wine is made from 100% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes. It is produced by Ca'Bolani and tells the story of a generous land, where the vineyards gently slope towards the sea, producing unique and intense grapes. The winery, owned by the Zonin family, is located in Cervignano del Friuli (UD), a strip of Friuli Venezia Giulia characterised by a unique terroir that gives Refosco an unmistakable personality. An interesting fact: Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is considered one of the oldest native red grape varieties in Friuli, with roots that go back in time. A true guardian of local winemaking tradition. This grape variety produces wines characterised by an intense colour, rich aromas and a strong character. In the cellar, the grapes are carefully processed to extract the best colour and polyphenols. After crushing and destemming, the must ferments and macerates for 8-12 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This process promotes significant extraction of colour and tannins. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation, which helps to soften the acidity. Maturation takes place in oak barrels, where the wine refines its structure and acquires greater complexity. This Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso expresses its characteristics best in the first 2-3 years after harvest, when it reveals a distinct fruity character. Thanks to its balanced structure and pleasant freshness, this Refosco is an excellent wine for all meals. It pairs well with savoury dishes.
