    • Vinification It is produced mainly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand between the end of August and the beginning of September. After the classic vinification processes, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Metodo Classico, with ageing on its lees for 36 months.

    • Franciacorta DOCG Essence Nature. Vintage 2016. For those who are not looking for compromises but want to experience all the goodness of a unique territory such as Franciacorta, this is the bottle to put in your shopping trolley. Antica Fratta offers this interesting blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, clean and rigorous, produced without the addition of dosage syrup, or “liqueur d'expedition”. No added sugars, therefore. No tricks, no make-up. In the bottle, and then in our glass, only the fruit of rigorous processing, aimed at bringing out the best in the original fruit. 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. Maturation lasts for over 42 months after harvesting, at least 36 of which are spent on the lees in the bottle. The result is a sparkling wine of the highest quality, characterised by a straw yellow colour with golden reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose is surprising for its broad bouquet, with hints of spices and dried fruit. On the palate, however, it is pleasantly clean, with a fragrant and balanced aroma of good persistence. A bottle like this can be enjoyed with pleasure, either as an aperitif with friends or for an important dinner. It is versatile and incredibly gastronomic. Its natural vocation? Seafood and raw fish.

      The Antica Fratta winery boasts a long history, closely linked to that of the Franciacorta area. Its origins date back to the mid-19th century, when Cavaliere di Gran Croce Luigi Rossetti, a wealthy wine merchant from the area, transformed an ancient 16th-century farmhouse into his residence, renovating the old cellars dug into the rock of the hill on which the villa stands and making them not only a showcase of excellence for his business, a personal jewel for storing his selections. After the knight's death, the property passed from hand to hand until 1979, when the production of the modern Antica Fratta began. Over the years, the company has been able to push its horizons further and further, becoming one of the great names of Franciacorta.
