    Pecorino Falerio DOC "Villa Angela" 2022
  • Villa Angela, Falerio DOC is produced with pure Pecorino grapes. A pleasantly aromatic grape variety produced in the Marche region is used to produce this precious Velenosi white is harvested in mid-September by hand, only when perfectly ripe. The grapes, harvested in small crates, are stored in temperature-controlled cells until processing. Vinification in thermo-conditioned steel containers. At the end of fermentation, the wine is aged in steel until the following month of February, at a temperature of about 10 degrees, to keep intact its rich aromatic heritage. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful straw yellow colour, with a complex, elegant and harmonious bouquet, which recalls hints of exotic fruit and citrus. But also floral of hawthorn, acacia flowers, jasmine and hints of aromatic herbs. In the mouth, however, the great freshness enhances the characteristics of varietal aromas. Acidity, freshness and softness coexist in a satisfyingly long and elegant sip.

    It all began with two very young entrepreneurs, Angela and Ercole Velenosi. It was 1984. The company's headquarters is located in Ascoli Piceno, in the heart of the Marche region, about 20 kilometres from the Adriatic coast, at an altitude of about 200 metres above sea level. The company's estates are located in the hills, where clayey and fertile soils have always been considered ideal for the cultivation of vines. Four separate farms located in Ascoli Piceno, Castorano, Monsampolo del Tronto and Castel di Lama, with a vineyard in the area of Ancarano, in the province of Teramo, and one in the area of San Marcello, in the province of Ancona, in the Castelli di Jesi. Velenosi wines are often awarded by the most severe national and international critics and are distributed in more than 52 countries in the world. Today the total production is around 2 and a half million bottles per year. But, as the company says, the projects in the pipeline are not finished yet.
