Wonderful aromas of pine needles, rosemary, fresh mushrooms, bark and dark fruit. Full body. Very tight and tannic backbone. Racy and driven. Undertones of orange peel and wet earth. Even licorice and mint. Great finish. Better after 2021, but exciting to taste now.

A big, lush style, this red delivers pure aromas and flavors of black currant, cherry, violet, flint, tobacco and baking spices. This is supple, yet backed by a firm, dense matrix of tannins, so all the components are there, but this needs time to integrate. Lovely sweet, ripe finish. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2022 through 2040.
Tignanello 2020 is the child of an exceptional Tuscan climate. The vintage was characterised by an ideal climatic balance, with sunny days and cool nights, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly. In the glass, it reveals a deep, vibrant ruby colour. Intense ruby red in colour, Tignanello 2020 strikes the nose for its complexity: notes of ripe fruit such as cherry, strawberry and blackberry accompany delicate floral hints of violet, mauve and rose; toasted coffee and cocoa powder complete the bouquet. The initial entry on the palate is vibrant, then buoyant and dimensional. On the finish, spicy notes of pepper and liquorice combine with pleasant sensations of aromatic herbs giving length and freshness.
