"Fattorie Le Maestrelle" Rosso Toscana IGT

It is called Fattoria Le Maestrelle and is one of the good wines offered by Santa Cristina. Tuscan IGT, this modern red wine has a strong character and is able to tell the story of its strong bond with its territory of origin. It is made from a selection of international grapes, Merlot and Syrah, called upon to support the prince of central Italy's native vines, the rustic Sangiovese. The grapes, harvested at different times and vinified separately by variety, give their best, contributing to the creation of a particularly well-balanced blend, with elegant aromatic characteristics and particularly soft tannins. At the end of malolactic fermentation, the wine begins a long period of ageing in the cellar, which ends with bottling and final release. Ruby red with violet hues, Fattoria Le Maestrelle's nose reveals itself to be intense and complex, with notes of ripe red fruit, well combined with sensations of juniper berries, mint, vanilla and coffee. In the mouth it is balanced, soft and savoury, with a complex finish reminiscent of the notes perceived on the nose. It is the right wine to accompany meat-based preparations, savoury dishes, even a lot, or simple platters of cold meats and traditional cheeses. Truly a pleasantly versatile red.
