Noir de Mariette comes from a small vineyard in Barge, in the hamlet of Ripoira, where Pinot Noir finds an intimate and territorial expression. It is a wine that is the result of precise choices and deliberately limited production, designed to enhance finesse and depth rather than power. Manual harvesting and careful vinification allow only what is necessary to be extracted. Maceration is measured, with frequent but delicate pumping over. Ageing in second and third passage barriques accompanies the wine without dominating it. In the glass, it appears a pale ruby red, slightly transparent and elegant. Cherry and strawberry emerge on the nose, followed by floral notes of violet. A slight hint of spice and vanilla closes the bouquet. On the palate, it is fine, dynamic and precise. The acidity supports the sip. The tannins are present but never intrusive. The finish is long and consistent. It is a mountain Pinot Noir, measured and distinctive.
