  • Vinification Vinification: Destemming of the grapes with subsequent maceration and fermentation of the crushed grapes for about 12 days at controlled temperature in steel tanks. Maturation and ageing: After vinification follows 2-3 racking into steel tanks where it stays for about 15 months, during which time the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation with consequent softening of taste. This is followed by bottling with a bottle-ageing period of about 6 months before release.

    "Dextrum" Pinot Nero Trentino DOC 2020
  • Pinot Noir is considered the noblest and most elegant of grape varieties. And at the same time it is the most difficult to interpret and the one that confronts the winemaker with complex choices. Dextrum is the Pinot Noir proposed by Azienda Agricola Lagertal. Trentino DOC, it is made from pure Pinot Noir, characterised by early ripening and great sensitivity to terroir. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery and destemmed, followed by maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. Vinification is followed by 2-3 rackings in steel tanks and a rest period of about 15 months, during which the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation with a consequent softening of taste. This is followed by bottling and a further rest in the bottle for about 6 months before release. A pale ruby red colour tending towards garnet, the nose reveals an intense aroma of red berries of undergrowth, currants and cherries. In the mouth it is pleasantly dry, with sapidity and smoothness. It goes well with vegetable soups, pasta and beans and mixed meats.

    Nestling in the province of Trento, Vallagarina, Lagertal in German, defines the last stretch between the mountains of the valley traversed by the Adige river. Here, where the Southern Alps impose themselves for the last time with peaks from 1,000 to 2,000 metres, before descending towards the Po Valley, a long history has favoured settlements, villages and castles. It is in this enchanted corner of Italy that the Zago family has set up its farm with vineyards in Reviano, a small village known for being a moraine plateau that favours the growth of grapes, giving a special flavour to the wine. From here, among other things, there is a spectacular view over the entire valley and you can admire the magnificent Adige River flowing through the vines. Lagertal extends over 2 hectares, at an altitude of 450 metres. The total annual production is about 25,000 bottles, obtained in full respect of traditional methods and selecting only the best raw materials, to guarantee quality and balance to the final product.
