The traditional Ligurian white wine produced from pure Pigato grapes. In the glass, it has a beautiful straw yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose is surprising for its ample bouquet, intensely fruity, fragrant and persistent, with clear hints of plum, ripe peach and honey, on a pleasantly mineral background. There are then slight hints of yellow flowers, musk and resin. In the mouth it is immediately dry but ample. Delicately warm, sapid and full-bodied. Excellent persistence that prolongs the pleasure of drinking for several seconds, thanks to a bitter finish reminiscent of peach seed and bitter honey. It's the right glass, if on the table there is a traditional menu, with trofie with pesto and a fish baked Ligurian style.
Durin is a small family-run farm with a long history. It is located in Ortovero, in the province of Savona and was founded in 1978 by Antonio Basso, the third generation of winemakers in his family. The first vineyards of the company date back to the twenties and today extend over 17 hectares, mostly terraced, in Valle Arroscia. The main autochthonous varieties of Liguria di Ponente are cultivated, thanks to a very particular microclimate, influenced by the hills and the sea which is only 7 kilometres away. In the winery, tradition and innovation happily coexist. So next to the traditional Ligurian wines there are other very special and interesting ones.
