"Geva" Pigato DOC Riviera Ligure di Ponente

Géva is a pure Pigato, produced with grapes from the company's vineyards in Ortovero and Ponterotto. Modern in concept, it proudly bears the words "No added sulfites" on the label. To achieve this, the vinification must be particularly accurate and the grapes must arrive in the cellar perfect. Dynamic maceration of the whole bunches at a low temperature, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature, with exploitation of the gases produced naturally to saturate the tank. This is followed by a period of several months on its lees with frequent batonnage, and a simple natural clarification by decantation. All with the utmost respect for the raw material. For this reason, according to the winery, a small deposit at the bottom of the bottle is to be considered quite natural. Dry white of a straw yellow colour with warm golden reflections, the nose has intense and enveloping aromas, characterized by notes of fruit and herbs. In the mouth it is soft, long lasting, with an elegant hint of almond. A wine that, due to its particular processing, is destined to evolve a lot in the bottle. And every time we open it, it will amaze us.
