Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots" Côte de Beaune 2018

Volnay is one of the noble communes of the Côte de Beaune of Burgundy. This Premier Cru "Santenots," in particular, marks the boundary between the cultivation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in this part of the region. The reds produced here, in particular, thanks largely to the unique nature of the soil, are considered among the finest and most elegant in Burgundy. This Santenots presents itself in the glass with a beautiful bright ruby red color. The nose is extremely typical, with elegant notes of small red fruits and a slight woody tone. The mouth then reveals a wine characterized by pleasant drinkability, with ample body, rich fruit and an intriguing spicy note to give it complexity. The finish is particularly long and elegant.
