"Chapelle Gordonne" Côte de Provence Rosé 2023
  • Côtes de Provence AOC La Chapelle Rosé is offered by Château La Gordonne. An organic rosé wine, it comes from grapes cultivated on the schistous slopes of Pierrefeu-du-Var, one of Provence's most renowned areas for the production of rosé wines. This area is characterised by a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot, dry summers, and a soil composition that gives the wines a unique minerality. The grapes used are Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, three typical varieties of the region which, combined, give the wine a perfect balance of freshness, aromaticity and structure. Harvested at night to take advantage of the cooler temperatures, the grapes are quickly delivered to the cellar for immediate processing. Only the best parts of the musts are used, which are then fermented at a controlled temperature. Next, the team of oenologists meet to create the blend, respecting strict standards in terms of colour and organoleptic characteristics. A soft pink colour with pearly reflections, it offers a good aromatic balance on the nose, with a distinctive minerality accompanied by notes of fresh fruit. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and silky, fine texture. The finish is slightly citrusy and persistent, leaving a clean and lively sensation. This versatile rosé pairs perfectly with a wide range of dishes. It is ideal as an aperitif, but also goes well with light first courses, white meats and fish. Its freshness and minerality make it a perfect companion for summer salads, vegetable starters and grilled fish dishes.

In the heart of Provence, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape, lies Château La Gordonne, one of the largest and oldest wine estates in the region. With its 350 hectares of single-body vineyards, spread over an exceptional clay-limestone terrain overlooking the Mediterranean, Château La Gordonne is a true paradise for wine lovers. The vineyards, located in a protected basin, benefit from a special microclimate characterised by mild, temperate winters and hot, dry summers. The vines typical of Provence are cultivated, including Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Carbernet Tibouren, Clairette, Semillon and Syrah, from which wines are produced that are distinguished by their elegance, complexity and fidelity to the terroir.
