    "Kikè" Terre Siciliane IGP 2023
  • Kikè, Terre Siciliane IGP proposed here by Cantine Fina, is a pleasant surprise. It is, in fact, an interesting aromatic white wine, produced from a grape variety that we would normally be inclined to associate with a decidedly cooler territory. Kikè is made from 90% Traminer Aromatico grapes and Sauvignon Blanc for the remainder. This is undoubtedly helped by the hilly profile of the winery's vineyards, which are located around 500 metres above sea level. Here, in fact, the grapes can ripen enjoying a beneficial temperature range between day and night. Ideal conditions for developing sugar and fine aromas. Harvested in August, processing in the cellar is aimed exclusively at maintaining the rich aromatic profile of the original grapes. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and refinement in the bottle for just six months. Straw yellow in colour with golden highlights, Kikè's bouquet is reminiscent of spices and candied fruit. In the mouth, the taste is full and intense, with fruity and floral notes, as well as delicate hints of spices to give greater complexity. An ideal wine to accompany hors d'oeuvres, it goes perfectly with fish dishes, but also with risottos and first courses with a delicate flavour.
