Cantina Bolzano presents Praun, Merlot Siebeneich Riserva, Alto Adige DOC. The gentle, sunny slopes of Settequerce, in the province of Bolzano, provide ideal conditions for Merlot. Here, the fertile, warm alluvial soils produce a fruity, robust wine with good ageing potential. But let's proceed in order. The harvest takes place in mid-October. The best bunches are taken to the winery to be processed. The vinification is meticulous, with fermentation in wooden barrels and ageing for about a year in French barriques and large barrels. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful intense ruby red colour with garnet hues. On the nose, ripe berries, aromatic herbs, humus and spices. On the palate, the wine is pleasantly structured and complex, with soft tannins. Already good today, it is designed to age well in the cellar for several years. At the table, we discover a wine that is perfect for accompanying red meat dishes, especially grilled, game and mature cheeses.
