    Sauvignon DOC Friuli
  • Those who think of Friuli often do so by comparing it to the great aromatic whites. Friulian Sauvignons, in particular, are appreciated by many enthusiasts around the world who recognize a freshness and richness that is difficult to achieve in other regions. Tenuta Bosco Albano, for example, offers this Sauvignon made exclusively from grapes harvested by hand in the estate vineyards. The processing is designed to bring out the best of the primary aromas of the grape. Controlled temperatures, therefore, and the use of stainless steel at all stages. The result is a wine characterized by a soft straw yellow colour. The nose has all the typical sensations of the vine, with clear recognitions of sage, nettle, elder and, above all, that green pepper which is a distinctive trait of Sauvignon picked when perfectly ripe. Fruity, harmonious and persistent on the palate. A pleasantly aromatic wine, capable of accompanying a lunch or dinner, starting from the aperitif.

The history of this beautiful Friulian company began in 1962, even if until 1990, the year in which the brothers Tarcisio and Luigi Durante began a profound restructuring, the company had a predominantly arable orientation. Today Tenuta Bosco Albano has rediscovered its full viticultural vocation. This is Pasiano di Pordenone, halfway between the Prealps and the Adriatic Sea. Here the approximately 40 hectares of property, closed land, enjoy a very special microclimate and favorable to the cultivation of varieties typical of the region. The estate, once made up of beech, poplar and oak woods, can count on a predominantly clayey soil, rich in marl, which hides an underground aquifer able to feed the drip irrigation of the entire vineyard.
