PRODUCTION NOTES
  • Produced and bottled by Barramundi Wines – Victoria, Australia

  • Produced in Australia

    Barramundi Pinot Noir
  • Modern in concept and appearance, this Pinot Noir Aussie is certainly not inspired by the serious models of Burgundy. A wine designed and produced to be enjoyable just a few months after release. A wine that plays everything on the richness of its aromas and ease of drinking. Vinification is simple and involves maceration of the skins for about a week. During the entire time the cap is constantly kept in motion to encourage all possible extraction of color and tannins. After racking, a quick refinement in barrels follows and then off to be bottled. The result? A bright and lively ruby red. A richly fruity nose with clear aromas of cherries, strawberries, raspberries and a slight hint of underbrush. In the mouth, the fruity character perceived earlier is found again, with a subtle hint of vanilla that makes it more intriguing.

Australia is synonymous with a relaxed lifestyle. And there is no winery that knows how to interpret this ''way of life'' better than Barramundi Wines. Synonymous with fruity, no-frills wines from the state of Vittoria and characterised by excellent value for money, Barramundi's wines are made to please a wide audience of enthusiasts. ''Don't make life too difficult!'' seems to be the motto of the great winery that with determination and commitment exports its good Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris to the four corners of the world. Without ever taking itself too seriously.
