"Fushà" Brut Bio - Baglio di Pianetto

Let's start with the name. Fushà is a term used in the language of the Arbèresh culture of Piana degli Albanesi to indicate a flat area near the Insolia del Baglio vineyards. A native grape variety that is used in purity to produce this pleasant Charmat method. The first one proposed by the Baglio di Pianetto winery that completes a range of products of great value, all characterized by the same natural elegance. Fushà, in particular, is made from carefully selected grapes pressed in a super soft way. This is followed by a slow process of static decantation, at low temperature, to make the must clear and naturally free of suspended particles. From this must comes the base wine which, in the following spring, is sent to the delicate stage of sparkling wine-making in autoclaves, which gives it its delicate perlage. In the glass you will discover a beautiful wine characterized by a straw yellow colour, with clear greenish reflections and a beautiful fine and persistent foam. The nose is clean, with delicate notes of white flowers and fruit in good balance and clear hints of bread crust and yeast. In the mouth, however, it is above all fresh and lively. Endowed with excellent natural acidity, it is a wine of great pleasantness. It is perfect as an aperitif or as a wine for the whole meal, especially if the table is dominated by fish.

NOSE: A clean nose with delicate notes of white flowers, a pleasant and fairly complex bouquet in which fragrant fruity aromas are balanced with clear sensations of bread crust and hints of yeast. MOUTHFEEL: Fresh and lively, balanced with a distinctive and pleasant personality. The palate has excellent acidity and harmony with a very interesting savoury finish.
  • Vinification The carefully selected grapes are softly pressed and subjected to 48 hours of static decantation at low temperature. The juice thus obtained is fermented at a controlled temperature. In spring, the sparkling wine base is racked into autoclaves, where, thanks to the addition of yeasts, a second fermentation takes place, triggering the spontaneous process of transformation of the residual sugars, from which carbon dioxide is produced, giving the wine its delicate perlage.
