    • Franciacorta DOCG Essence Nature. Vintage 2016. For those who are not looking for compromises but want to experience all the goodness of a unique territory like Franciacorta, this is the bottle to put in your cart. Antica Fratta proposes, in fact, this interesting blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, clean and rigorous, produced without the addition of dosage syrup, or "liqueur d'expedition". No added sugar, therefore. No makeup or make-up. In the bottle, and then in our glass, only the fruit of a rigorous process aimed at making the most of the initial fruit. 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. Maturation continues for more than 42 months from the harvest, of which at least 36 months are on the lees in the bottle. The result is a bubble of the highest quality, characterised by a straw-yellow colour with golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose is astonishing for its full bouquet, with hints of spices and dried fruit. In the mouth, on the other hand, it is pleasantly clean, with a fragrant and balanced aroma and good persistence. A bottle like this can be opened with pleasure, whether for an aperitif with friends or for an important dinner. It is versatile and incredibly gastronomic. Its natural vocation?       Antica Fratta has a long history, closely linked to that of the Franciacorta region. Its origins date back to the mid-nineteenth century, when the Knight of the Grand Cross Luigi Rossetti, a wealthy wine merchant in the area, transformed an old farmhouse of the sixteenth century into his residence, renovating the old cellars dug into the rock of the hill on which rests the Villa and making them, as well as a showcase of excellence for his business, a personal jewel to preserve his selections. After the death of the knight, the property passed from hand to hand, until 1979, when the production of the modern Antica Fratta began. Over the years, the company has been able to push its horizons further and further, and has come to be consecrated as one of the great names of Franciacorta.
