'When I was a researcher in the field of oenology,' explains Francesco Iacono, oenologist at Arcipelago Muratori, 'I took part in a study conducted in Franciacorta to identify the nature of the soils. We discovered that in the small territory known by this appellation, just over 2,000 hectares, there are as many as six different environments. Here, I based the personality of Villa Crespia Franciacorta wines precisely on these six different environments, each of which brings distinct characteristics to the grapes, which I want to find in the glass."
