  • Let's face it. Most of us associate Lambrusco with the image of a simple and pleasant wine but with little personality and value. Well, thanks to far-sighted producers like Ariola, the time has come to review their positions. Because if the beauty (and goodness) of Lambrusco is its immediacy, when it is skilfully processed it can give life to wines with great personality. Wines to be brought to the table to accompany lunches and dinners in company, sure of offering a bubble that will certainly not go unnoticed. This Spumante Nature, therefore dry, 'Marcello', for example, is a red sparkling wine produced using the 'ancestral' method, i.e. through natural fermentation in the bottle, and then put on the market without being filtered, with all its yeasts inside. An intense Lambrusco, made from 100% Lambrusco Maestri, with a dark colour and a very rich fruit bouquet, with hints of morello cherry, wild berries and dog rose. In the mouth it is warm but easy to drink, with a nice balance of all its components and that right hint of tannicity that makes it perfect as a meal wine.

    About 70 hectares on the first hills overlooking the Po Valley. Vineyards positioned between 220 metres and 300 metres above sea level. Optimal slopes to guarantee good drainage for the vines and orientation of the rows to ensure constant sun exposure for the ripening grapes. All this is Ariola, a winery founded in 2003 and already able to place its wines at the top of world rankings. Merit, no doubt from the vineyards, but also from the skill of Marcello, its founder, who has been able to give his company a precise direction. Thus the processing still follows the strict seasonal rhythms, like the phases of rest and maturation of the wines. Over everything, however, reigns a profound respect for the land and for nature. And so, from the estate vineyards, traditional white and red wines come to life, easily recognisable for their quality and stylistic consistency. Above all Lambrusco and Malvasia, of course, and a sea of fresh bubbles. But also still and classic reds, to which are added distillates, craft beers and precious elixirs.
