Perlato del Bosco, Toscana Sangiovese IGT, is Tua Rita's pure Sangiovese. When the company was purchased by the current owners, Sangiovese was the predominant variety, together with Trebbiano. Tua Rita's choice, however, is not to be content with picking the best grapes possible. For this reason, after several vinifications, in order to try to exalt the potential of the vine in the best possible way, a new road is tried. In 2003, a vineyard was planted with a selected clone, which is better adapted to the dry climate and hot summer temperatures of the Tuscan coast. Thus was born this Tuscan red wine, which since 2011 has been produced only from grapes from this vineyard. After vinification, half of Perlato del Bosco is aged in 20-hectolitre barrels, while the other half is placed in 40-hectolitre truncated oak vats. The result is a marvellous red wine for the whole meal, intense and smooth, with a pleasant acidity typical of the vine and pleasantly smooth tannins. A wine created to accompany grilled dishes with great satisfaction.
