Take a couple of international grape varieties that are capable of producing extraordinary wines anywhere in the world, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Add a little Tuscan wisdom and dress it up with a little Italian good taste. The result is this Baby Super Tuscan (BST), proposed by Cantine Folonari to wine lovers who are not satisfied with the usual Tuscan red. Cabernet and Merlot, in this case, come from the different estates owned by the family. Harvested by hand and vinified with care and attention in temperature-controlled steel containers. No ageing in wood. Only one maturation in steel followed by two months of refinement in the bottle. The result is a wine of great pleasantness, characterized by a beautiful intense ruby red colour. The nose is striking for the richness of its fruity scents. Blackberries, blackcurrants, plums. Followed by a riot of spices. In the mouth it is full-bodied, with velvety tannins that make it the perfect companion to grilled meats and Florentine steaks.
