"Lodovico" Toscana IGT 2019

We are talking about Lodovico, Toscana IGT, proposed by MLA Estates, a company that belongs to the Marchesi Antinori family. A red wine of great value and very high quality, produced from selected grapes. The blend is predominantly Cabernet Franc, with a small amount of Petit Verdot. The grapes come from the Biserno Estate and are produced in extremely limited quantities. Vinification involves alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation, 80% of which takes place in barriques. Lodovico presents itself in the glass with an intense colour and a complex aroma of ripe black fruit, spices, coffee and cocoa that blend harmoniously in an intense and deep bouquet. In the mouth, the texture is dense and the tannins are ripe and smooth, offering a long, persistent and pleasant finish. A powerful and elegant wine, it requires time to fully express its great potential. A small investment that can easily be 'forgotten' in the cellar, improving for years while waiting to be served with main courses of meat and medium-long aged cheeses.
