"Josè'" Vermentino di Gallura DOCG 2023
  • An authentic expression of the territory and the local wine-making tradition. We are talking about Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Jose from Poderi Parpinello, a company located in the picturesque setting of Alghero, in the province of Sassari. The company's vineyards extend over unique soils, characterised by granite and sand, at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level. These privileged environmental conditions give the wine an extraordinary complexity and a unique aromatic profile. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a cold maceration phase, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures for approximately 9 months before being bottled. In the glass, it has a brilliant straw yellow colour, with clear greenish reflections. On the nose, balsamic notes of Mediterranean scrub emerge, accompanied by elegant floral hints that give the wine a fresh and enveloping character. In the mouth, on the other hand, it stands out for its softness and savouriness, well balanced by a pleasant acidic vein that invites you to drink more. Perfect to enjoy when young, when it best expresses its vivacity and freshness, it goes well with seafood first courses.

Poderi Parpinello, a Sardinian winery, was born from the passion and experience of the Parpinello family, dedicated to the production of wines for over sixty years. We are located between Alghero and Sassari, where the company boasts 35 hectares of vineyards spread over three different locations: 7 hectares by the sea near Castelsardo, 15 a few steps from the coast near Lake Baratz and 13 in Janna de Mare, where the production cellar is also located. The company cultivates both native vines typical of the area, such as Cannonau, Vermentino, Monica, Cagnulari and Torbato, and international vines such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This choice makes it possible to offer a wide and varied range of wines, capable of satisfying the most demanding palates. In the winery, Poderi Parpinello is distinguished by a production approach that combines tradition and innovation. The company uses the most modern oenological technologies, while respecting local traditions and the territory. Giampaolo Parpinello, president and founder of Poderi, represents the soul of the company. Always dedicated to wine production and the care of the vines, he has dedicated his life to this craft, passing on his passion and knowledge to his children. Today, Giampaolo devotes special attention to the vineyards and grapes.
