Let's start with the fact that Côtes-du-Jura is a regional appellation in eastern France. Most famous for the production of special white wines, the so-called "Vin Jeune," introduced in 1937. The one proposed here, however, does not belong to this category but is an interesting red wine made from a pure processing of Pinot Noir grapes. The indication "Vieilles Vignes," or old vines, that we find on the label of this Marcel Cabelier-branded wine, moreover, should immediately make us think of quality. Côte du Jura Pinot Noir is a very enjoyable red wine, characterized by a style that is both fresh and elegant. A beautiful goblet that allows us to best appreciate all the best qualities of the noblest of French grape varieties, thanks to super careful vinification in steel tanks and a short aging phase, also in steel, that leaves no superstructure on the finished wine. Excellent choice for those who want to experience the potential of typical Pinot Noir from a somewhat unusual region.
