It is called 'Vin Soave' and is, pun intended, a Soave Classico DOC. One of the best known and best loved, to tell the truth. Among the Inama winery's point products. In fact, it alone accounts for about half of the company's total production. It is, as its producers well explain, what they call "a little luxury for every day". A classic, harmonious and intense wine, it is made from Garganega grapes from the Soave Classico area, a hilly zone capable of expressing itself with wines of extraordinary finesse. Vinified in stainless steel, this Soave presents itself in the glass with a beautiful bright straw yellow colour. The aromas are delicate and pleasant. They are reminiscent of wild flowers, camomile, elderflower and iris. On the palate, on the other hand, it is richly mineral, with an almond aftertaste, typical of Garganega Classica. Easy to pair, it is a satisfying accompaniment to any meal, from aperitifs to main courses of white meat or fish.
The history of the Inama winery is deeply linked to that of its founder, Giuseppe Inama, who for over forty years invested his energies in the vineyards on Monte Foscarino. What he considered, probably rightly, to be one of the most important territories in the Soave area. The winery is located in San Bonifacio, in the province of Verona. The first bottles produced by Inama date back only to 1991. The first wine was a Sauvignon, a new variety for the area, which was called "Vulcaia", to emphasise the uniqueness of a soil of ancient volcanic origin that deserved to be enhanced with careful vinification and attention to quality rather than quantity. Today the winery is run by Stefano, Giuseppe's son, who is proving to be one of the most eclectic winemakers in the area, capable of daring with innovative choices, often breaking with tradition. 30 hectares of land, mainly cultivated with white varieties, and conducted with passion and skill. Organic in fact, even before the label.
