    Soave DOC Classico
  • It comes from Garganega grapes in clear predominance, about 80%, to which a little 'Trebbiano and a tip, about 5%, Chardonnay are added. The result is a white wine of great pleasantness, also thanks to a volcanic soil that gives it just a hint of minerality. We are talking about Soave Classico of the Cantina della Valpolicella Negrar. A perfect wine to accompany an evening with friends, from the aperitif to after dinner. In the glass it has a beautiful straw yellow colour not too strong. The nose is dominated by memories of flowers and white pulp fruit, with a hint of sweet spices on the finish. In the mouth, it is dry and fresh. An easy-drinking wine that closes with a slightly almondy note, a true seal of approval for the Garaganega grape variety.

    A historical organisation of Valpolicella. A social winery, that of Valpolicella Negrar, founded in August 1933 by "six local gentlemen" who joined together in a company to defend the territory from speculative investments. The aim, now as then, is to get directly to the consumer with products bottled in full respect of the local winemaking tradition. A tradition that the members of the winery cherish and safeguard with religious respect. Few people remember it, but it is precisely to the Negrar winery that we owe the origin of Amarone. It was 1936. Today the winery can count on about 600 hectares of vineyards, distributed in different areas of Valpolicella Classica (but not only) and cultivated by about 230 members. It boasts a wide production of wines awarded by international critics, a project to safeguard the environment and above all a line of high quality wines, the Domìni Veneti, which are exported all over the world. So much water has passed under the bridge since that distant August of 1933. And how much wine has been produced since then (and certainly enjoyed with satisfaction).
