    "Campaperi" Rosso di Montalcino DOC
  • Rosso di Montalcino Campaperi is a near Brunello. In fact, it derives from the same grapes, harvested in the same vineyard, at the same time. Only a part of the wine, at the end of the fermentation, is separated and aged for about 15 months in 30-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels. Compared to its older brother, Brunello, it is a simpler and more immediate wine. Superb structure and qualities of particular vivacity and freshness. In the glass it is a beautiful bright, clear ruby red colour. The nose is dominated by wild berries. In the mouth it is dry, round, with good freshness and the inevitable long persistence. Rosso Campaperi is made to be drunk young but it also lends itself well to spending a few winters in the cellar waiting to mature.

    Among enthusiasts, Azienda Agricola Valentiano is considered to be a jewel and its wines are among the most appreciated of the Montalcino hills. Its curious name comes from the fusion of the names of Valentina and Fabiano, the two young spouses who run this small company. Fabiano represents the latest generation of a lineage of producers. Grandfather Dino Ciacci, just to be clear, was one of the founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello. Instead, thanks to her specialization in biology, Valentina takes care of the Vineyards, in perfect harmony between man and environment.
