The village of Suvereto is the centre of this unique territory, where wooded hills alternate with vineyards caressed by the sea breeze. The soils, rich in clay and minerals, give the wines a solid structure and a marked minerality. Gualdo del Re has chosen to work in full respect of this ecosystem, adopting certified organic farming for years to preserve the vitality of the soil and obtain healthy, flavourful grapes that best reflect their terroir. Eliseo is the result of a skilful blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend that combines the elegance of Sangiovese with the softness and fruity notes of Merlot and the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes, harvested by hand, are vinified with great care. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the primary aromas, while a brief ageing in wood, tonneau and second and third passage barriques for only 6 months softens the wine without covering its fruity character, adding a slight complexity. Intense ruby red in colour, the nose offers aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, with a touch of dark berries and a slight spicy note. The palate is full and enveloping, but never heavy. The tannins are soft and round, perfectly integrated, and the lively acidity ensures a pleasant smoothness.
