Mori Vecio is probably the most representative of Cantina Concilio's wines. The singular name alludes to its place of origin, the old part of Mori, a small village in Vallagarina, and, at the same time, a wish for long life. It could be translated, in fact, as "die old" (i.e. not at a young age). The first bottle of this Trentino red dates back to 1967 and, in its own way, it was an innovative product for the time. Mori Vecio, in fact, is a first example of a Bordeaux blend produced in the Trento Alps. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak barrels, it immediately stood out for its excellent structure, elegance and exuberance. Ruby red colour with slight garnet hues, the nose is dominated by red fruit, pepper and a hint of vanilla due to the ageing in barrels. In the mouth, it is rich and generous, with soft and elegant tannins. Good structure and long in terms of persistence.
