Technical Data Sheet
CHARACTERISTICS
  • TypeFranciacorta DOCG
  • Location Lombardy
  • Grapes Chardonnay 82%, Pinot Bianco 1.5%, Pinot Nero 16.5%
  • Sensations To the eye with a prestigious, luminous straw-yellow mantle, furrowed by fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, it delicately and progressively releases timid and fragrant hints of citrus, apple, white peach and exotic fruit, enriched by memories of pastries, echoes of dried fruit and mineral trails. The taste, lively and darting, entices the drinker by virtue of its irresistible freshness, vibrant and well dosed. The drink is therefore slender and inviting and stretches out to a pleasant fruity finish.
  • Vinification The Chardonnay, Pinot blanc and Pinot noir grapes are vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, where the wines remain until the following March. This is followed by seven months of ageing necessary for the wine to clarify, mature and bring out the character of the original vineyards. The wines are blended with the reserves of the best vintages (at least 20%). Ageing on the lees lasts an average of 25 months. Disgorgement takes place in the absence of oxygen using a unique system devised and patented by Ca' del Bosco, which avoids oxidative shocks and further additions of sulphites. Each bottle is uniquely marked to guarantee traceability.
  • Alcoholic strength 12,5% vol
  • Allergens Contains sulphites

Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta Extra Brut "Cuvée Prestige Edizione 46" Magnum
  • If Ca' del Bosco can be considered the very symbol of Franciacorta, much of the credit must go to its best-known label, the legendary Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut. With its transparent bottle and sinuously shaped label, this bubbly represents a true benchmark for the type. Appreciated across the board by aficionados and professionals alike, this Franciacorta DOCG comes from a careful selection in the countryside of the best Chardonnay grapes, in clear predominance, with an addition of Pinot Noir and just a hint of Pinot Blanc. The grapes are vinified separately and alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, where the wines remain until the following March. Then the vintage wines are blended with the reserve wines preserved from the best vintages, and the bottling and delicate mousse-taking take place. Maturation lasts for around 25 months, after which disgorging takes place, which in this case takes place in the absence of oxygen, thanks to a unique system invented and patented by Ca' del Bosco itself. At that point each bottle is uniquely marked to ensure complete traceability. To the eye, this Franciacorta is a prestigious, luminous straw yellow, furrowed by fine, persistent bubbles. The nose delicately and progressively releases shy, fragrant hints of citrus, apple, white peach and exotic fruit. All enhanced by memories of pastries and dried fruit. The taste, lively and darting, invites drinking by virtue of its irresistible freshness, vibrant and well dosed. The finish is pleasant and fruity.

Write Ca' del Bosco and read Franciacorta. Because this sparkling wine house belongs, in the collective imagination, to the small circle of companies of excellence, capable of producing high level wines every year, a symbol of 'made in Italy' throughout the world. Its history, this not everyone knows, began in the mid-1960s, when Annamaria Clementi bought a small country house in Erbusco locally known as Ca' del bosc. A few years later, her son Maurizio, returning from a trip to Champagne, had the brilliant intuition to transform that small country home into one of the most advanced wineries in the area. Today Maurizio Zanella can count on a large estate of vineyards, spread over no less than 8 different communes in Franciacorta. The cellar, on the other hand, is modern and hyper-technological, with various works of art and sculpture on display among the fermenters and presses. Today, Ca' del Bosco sparkling wines are identified with that style and personality. Unique and exuberant wines, awarded by the most severe wine critics all over the world.
