An ancient autochthonous vine, rediscovered and enhanced by Giovanni Cherchi, the Cagnulari is now used in purity to produce this interesting territorial red wine. Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, this wine is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes on the estate, which have reached perfect ripeness. Traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, after racking it is aged in stainless steel tanks and, in small part, in wooden barrels for about 6 months. Only then, after clarification and very light filtration, is it finally bottled. Intense ruby red in colour, this Cagnulari reveals a good aromatic intensity, with hints of jam and geranium. In the mouth it is dry and pleasantly sapid, with a good structure, warm and lively, thanks to a natural acidity. The tannins are soft and well matured. A wine with a good capacity for ageing, this red wine from the territory calls for tasty pairings. Excellent with salami and medium mature cheeses, it can also accompany grilled or stewed meats with satisfaction.
