Today we are in the heart of Australia, where the French Syrah is better known as Shiraz. Here we find Two Hands, a winery that has been able to gain a prominent place on the international wine scene in relatively few years, thanks to the quality of its wines. Founded in 1999 by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz, the winery was born with a clear objective: to demonstrate to the world the extraordinary potential of Australian Shiraz, cultivated in the continent's best terroirs. The company's philosophy is simple: terroir, i.e. the combination of geological, climatic and environmental characteristics of an area, is the fundamental element in bringing out the best qualities of the grape variety. For this reason, the company owns vineyards in six different regions of Australia, each of which offers unique and unrepeatable conditions for growing grapes. These include the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and the Clare Valley, areas renowned for producing wines of the highest quality. Each plot is carefully tended by the Two Hands winegrowing teams, who work tirelessly to maximise the potential of each individual plot. This meticulous approach allows them to express all the nuances of the grape variety, offering wines that are the perfect synthesis of their terroir.
