Ribolla Gialla Colli Orientali DOC 2020

Pure Ribolla Gialla. And not just any Ribolla Gialla. Just the one from the estate vineyards of one of Friuli's most highly regarded producers. Colli Orientali DOC, this young and immediate white wine is Ronchi di Cialla's interpretation of the region's best-loved native grape variety. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, preceded by maceration on the skins for at least two days. Then natural decantation and refinement on the fine lees for at least three months with frequent bâtonnage. The result is a white wine characterised by a beautiful pale straw yellow colour with green reflections that brighten the colour. In the glass it is brilliant, with notes of beautiful freshness on the nose. The aromas are elegant and fragrant of bread crust. Then fruity notes of apple and pear on a floral and mineral background. In the mouth it enjoys a perfect balance between all its components and a nice consistent, fresh and savoury finish. A wine of great drinkability, it is the ideal accompaniment for fish, shellfish and mollusc dishes. Also excellent with vegetable-based first courses or, for lovers of ethnic cuisine, with classic sushi and sashimi.
