Vinificato e imbottigliato in Paternopoli (AV) da Socirtà Agricola Nativ SRL in Grottaminarda (AV)
Fiano di Avellino DOCG, this white wine with great character and personality is produced in the hills of Irpinia, in the province of Avellino, at 300–650 metres above sea level. Here, the soils are a unique mix of clay and limestone, rich in volcanic material erupted over thousands of years thanks to the historical activity of Vesuvius and the Campi Flegrei. These characteristics guarantee structured, aromatic and long-lived wines. The temperature variations between day and night, typical of this mountainous area, contribute to the preservation of freshness and minerality in Fiano. Via del Crinale, a single-varietal wine, is produced from hand-picked grapes. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks to preserve delicate aromas and freshness. Bright straw yellow in colour, it opens on the nose with notes of lemon apple, white peach, elderflower and bread crust. On the palate, it is intense, fresh and balanced, with vibrant acidity and a beautiful minerality typical of the volcano. The finish leaves traces of citrus, herbs and grass. Perfect with fish dishes such as seafood, soups and shellfish. Also excellent with fresh cheeses and grilled vegetables. Ideal as an aperitif.
A dynamic and modern winery, Vini Nativ was founded in 2008 in the hills of Irpinia, between Paternopoli and Taurasi, in the province of Avellino. The patrons of the initiative are Mario Ercolino, oenologist, and Roberta Pirone, biologist and food scientist. The name “Nativ” is no coincidence: it indicates the deep connection with native varieties, born from the desire to enhance the essence of the territory through local vines. Today, the winery has around 15 hectares of vineyards planted with Fiano di Avellino, Greco, Falanghina and Aglianico, as well as other minor native varieties that allow it to offer a wide and representative bouquet of Irpinia. In the cellar, Nativ combines modern techniques with respect for tradition: temperature-controlled fermentation, ageing in barriques or tonneaux only when necessary to enrich complexity, as well as various experiments to preserve the varietal identity intact.
