      This wine comes from Frescobaldi's new estate in Gaiole in Chianti. The Chianti Classico is a wine with a firm backbone and bright acidity (the vines are planted over 550 meters above sea level, and you taste lots of crispness as a result). This Chianti Classico is composed of 90% Sangiovese and other red grapes, including Merlot, Colorino, Canaiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Beyond the bright cherry and wild berry aromas are elegant mineral tones of granite and flint. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in new and neutral oak.

    • Chianti Classico Tenuta Perano is produced on the hills of Gaiole in Chianti, from vineyards located at 500 metres above sea level. The south-southwest exposure and above all the amphitheatre shape of the vineyards favour sunlight and concentrate heat. The combination of elevation, exposure, configuration and slope of the vineyards, represent an extraordinary qualitative uniqueness, giving the wines a bright purple colour, intense fruity aromas and great tannic structure, permeated with an elegant vibration.

      The Perano Estate is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in the commune of Gaiole, in an exceptional pedoclimatic situation for its uniqueness and quality. The vineyards are located at 500 metres above sea level, an altitude almost at the limit for red varieties and in particular for Sangiovese, which ripens late. Strong verticality, ideal for ventilation. A natural amphitheatre to catch the light, high altitudes, high vocation soils, draining and rich in stones.
