A small DOC for a wine of great quality. We are talking about the DOC Savuto Mute, produced by Le Moire. This Calabrian red wine is made from three autochthonous grape varieties: Arvino, Magliocco Dolce and Greco Nero. The grapes of each variety are harvested by hand according to their degree of ripeness, to ensure the highest quality and typicality of the fruit. The vinification is carried out separately and is combined only after the first racking, maintaining the proportions of the harvest. In the glass the wine shows a beautiful deep and dense color, reminiscent of the power and intensity of the autochthonous grapes used. The bouquet is clear and complex, with hints of ripe berries, balsamic nuances, sweet spices and notes of licorice and tobacco. In the mouth it stands out for its good balance, with fine tannins and a pleasant fruity character. The Mute seems to be made to accompany tasty traditional Calabrian dishes such as roast kid.
