A soft, pleasantly fruity Chianti with a strong, well-defined character, this traditional Tuscan red is made from Sangiovese grapes with small quantities of Merlot. A careful vinification and a quick refinement of 6 months in steel, preceded by a period of rest in the bottle. The result is a Chianti characterized by a beautiful ruby red colour with purple hues. Its bouquet is pleasantly fruity, with notes reminiscent of strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry and fig. The fruit is accompanied by floral and Mediterranean scents. The delicate spicy note is also pleasant, with elegant hints of pepper and clove. In the mouth, on the other hand, it is distinguished by a perfect correspondence of taste and smell and a wonderful vivacity, with a long and delicate finish. A full-blooded Tuscan red, this Chianti goes well with savoury dishes such as pappardelle with meat sauce, but also roast chicken and some semi-mature cheese.
