    Château Capbern 2021
    • There is a face of Saint-Estèphe that combines energy and precision, and Château Capbern interprets it with a direct and contemporary style. The vineyards rest on deep gravel soils with clay presence, capable of giving drive and structure to Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot completes the blend with roundness and rhythm. Vinification favours measured extraction to maintain tension and definition. Oak ageing structures the wine without stiffening it. In the glass, notes of redcurrant, blackberry, graphite and balsamic hints emerge. The entry is firm, the tannic texture compact yet orderly. Freshness accompanies the progression and lengthens the finish. This is a red that does not seek monumentality, but presence and coherence. The personality is clear and the profile readable. A Saint-Estèphe that combines substance and dynamism, designed to evolve with balance.

Located just a short distance from the great names of the appellation, the estate belongs to the same family that runs Calon-Ségur. Its geographical position ensures favourable exposures and full ripening of the grapes. The production philosophy focuses on rigorous vineyard management and careful parcel selection. Yields are controlled to preserve concentration and precision. In the cellar, technology and balance support a winemaking approach aimed at aromatic definition. The estate’s identity emphasises territorial authenticity and long-term reliability. Capbern represents a concrete and credible interpretation of Saint-Estèphe. A solid signature that interprets the Left Bank with clarity and discipline.
