"Biosfera" Terre Siciliane IGT White

Sicily alone boasts one of the largest heritage of native grape varieties in the world. There are dozens of grapes traditionally grown on the island, including Catarratto and Grecanico, used in equal measure in the blend of this interesting Biosfera, Terre Siciliane IGT offered by Pellegrino. The grapes come from the company's vineyards in Trapani. When the grapes are perfectly ripe, the vinification process begins in reduction, meaning without oxygen to best preserve the finer aromas of the fruit. Soft pressing and a long fermentation, always at low temperature. This is followed by 4 months of refinement in steel tanks and bottling. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful straw yellow color with golden reflections. Aromas of orange blossom and citron stand out on the nose, while on the palate this wine is light, fresh and savory, with pleasant notes of citrus and yellow flesh fruits. Shall we enjoy it? Let it sit in the refrigerator until a few minutes before serving, and then let it slowly warm up of a few degrees and sip it leisurely. Great paired with grilled light fish or a seafood appetizer.
