An interesting grape variety, expertly vinified by Cantine Fina in purity. We are talking about the traditional Perricone, in this case labelled Terre Siciliane IGP. This red grape variety has its origins in western Sicily. The wines made from it are rich and elegant, capable of standing up to even the most traditional reds made from noble international varieties. In addition, they have rare organoleptic and olfactory qualities that identify the territory of origin. Fina harvests the Perricone at the end of September and then only processes it in steel. After vinification, the wine remains in bottle before being put on the market. Ruby red of good intensity, it presents itself with great personality on the nose. Richly spiced, juniper and black pepper are the prevailing components. To these are added notes of morello cherry and jams, plums and cherries. Extraordinary vegetal touches complete the picture of a particularly broad and varied bouquet. The taste is elegant, with a solid and soft tannic base and a good alcohol content. The long persistence, typical of quality products, is excellent. Particularly recommended with semi-mature cheeses, medium-structured sausages, but also with the classic baked pork shank.
