When you talk about Franciacorta sparkling wines, you inevitably think of Bellavista. In fact, there are few wine companies in Italy that are able to identify so deeply with their territory. Bellavista is one of them. It was founded in 1977 from a dream of entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, who chose this estate near Erbusco to start his business venture. Today, after a few years, this project coincides with the large group known as Terra Moretti, which produces excellent and exclusive wines in various corners of Italy. Few people know that the name of the winery refers to the hill on which the estate stands, from which you can admire Lake Iseo, the Po Valley and the nearby Alps at a glance. Today, the estate has over a hundred plots scattered throughout the territory, from which the grapes used to produce classic method sparkling wines are sourced. Approximately one and a half million bottles are produced each year. However, there is no need to be concerned if the numbers seem significant. The house style is impeccable, and all the wines have a recognisable character. Since 2024, this has been guaranteed by none other than the internationally renowned oenologist Richard Geoffroy, who was the creative mind behind Maison Dom Pérignon for over 20 years. At Bellavista, Geoffroy will take on the delicate task of mentoring Francesca Moretti, who leads her technical team.
