Sweet cherries and strawberries with flowers and citrus on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with tannins that grow on the palate. Yet, they are balanced and refined. Give this a year or two to come together and soften slightly. Try after 2023.
The one proposed by Vite Colte is a particularly interesting Barolo. As per the regulations, the grapes used are strictly those of Nebbiolo. But, thanks to the vast availability of hectares under vine, the winemakers of the Cantina can choose grapes from different areas of the appellation, blending richer and more intense grapes with others capable of creating finer and more elegant wines. For ripening, however, the choice is unambiguous. Only large oak containers are used, capable of making the wine complex without affecting its flavour too much. The result is here for you to try. A beautiful rich, intense and perfectly balanced red. The tannins are very noble and the finish offers great persistence.
