La Casa in Collina is the Barbaresco proposed by Vite Colte. As with the Barolo wine produced by the same company, this wine is also the result of a blend of Nebbiolo grapes from different plots in the most interesting areas of the appellation. The long aging in large oak barrels rounds off the corners and produces a highly drinkable wine. While the view reveals a garnet red note not too intense, the nose is a succession of scents and sensations. A wine that should be savored slowly, allowing oxygen and temperature to reveal all the nuances of its bouquet. In the mouth it is soft, fresh and well supported by nobly chiseled tannins.
180 contributing members, for about three hundred hectares of vineyards. These are the numbers of Vite Colte, a wonderful company in the region of Piedmont that produces good DOC and DOCG wines of the region. The imposing and highly technological winery is located in Barolo, in the heart of the Langhe. A large part of the vineyards are cultivated according to the strict rules of organic farming. Those that are not certified, however, are managed with modern criteria, according to the dictates of integrated agriculture. The harvested grapes are therefore healthy and vital. And the wines produced there are rich and uncomplicated. From Barolo to Barbaresco, from Barbera to Nebbiolo, to bubbles and spirits, all the labels of the company deserve to be tasted.

A more floral, fresher Barbaresco that shows bright blueberries, fresh herbs and fruit tea. Medium-bodied and fruity with a lithe backbone of tannins and a soft finish. A more reserved style. Drink now.
Aromas of toasted hazelnut, camphor and dark-skinned berry mingle with whiffs of coconut. Tight and taut, the linear palate reflects the nose, offering espresso, dried sage, licorice and prune alongside assertive, close-grained tannins that leave a rather astringent finish. KERIN O’KEEFE
Though lean in profile, this red is dense and chewy, sporting subtle rose, cherry, licorice and earth flavors. Solid, if a tad rustic, with fine length. Best from 2022 through 2037.
Subtle, light, floral, cherry fruit nose with great concentration and decent length and persistence of simple fruit.
