Monferrato Doc Rosso "Bricchetta" - La Bollina

This Monferrato Rosso is a red wine, a blend of Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes coming from the vineyard called Bricchetta located on red soils within the municipality of Novi Ligure. An intense red colour with violet hues, it opens in the glass with intense aromas of blackberry, plum and hints of fresh fruit that are the background to the main aromatic trait that is spiciness; spices and vanilla, liquorice and mocha alternate, painting a picture of great elegance and power.The taste is full and persistent, complex, sustained by the characteristic acidity of the vine, which gives this wine length and freshness despite aging.

Located in Serravalle Scrivia, La Bollina is situated within the historical territorial district of Gavi docg in Alto Monferrato. The property covers over 120 hectares of gentle slopes, where there is also a Liberty villa converted into a luxury hotel with adjoining park and conference center, a golf course, chestnut woods and 33 hectares of vineyards.

  • Sensations Intense aromas of blackberry and plum provide a backdrop to brushstrokes of vanilla, spice and liquorice. The palate is persistent and complex, sustained by the characteristic acidity of the Barbera grape that lends freshness and longevity to the wine.
  • Vinification Cold pre-fermentative maceration for 4 days between 0 and 4 degrees and subsequent fermentation at controlled temperature for about 10 days.
