Anselmo, the name chosen by Sansilvestro for this Dolcetto, is based on that of the eldest son born of the union between Aleramo and Adelasia, marquises of Monferrato. Piedmont DOC, 100% Dolcetto, this young and fresh red wine is dedicated to his descendants. Dolcetto, which has always been considered the everyday wine of the Piedmontese, is characterised by its rich fruit and low acidity, making it ideal for a thousand different occasions. In this case, Sansilvestro vinifies and refines it exclusively in stainless steel in order to best safeguard its qualities of freshness and immediacy. A lively ruby red, in the glass it offers fresh and fragrant aromas reminiscent of small berries, such as blueberry. In the mouth it is a medium-bodied wine, pulpy and sincere. Pleasantly dry and harmonious, this wine should be consumed while still young and is the perfect accompaniment for fresh salami and lightly matured cheeses.
The Sansilvestro winery is located in Novello, in the heart of the Langa del Barolo. A beautiful story, that of Giovanni Sartirano, who in 1871 began his activity in the world of wine. More than a century later, Paolo and Guido carry on the family traditions with wisdom and respect. They are now the fourth generation at the helm. The story of Sansilvestro is one of investment in the future, with a careful eye to not losing sight of the teachings of the ancestors.
